Training Dogs Without Touching Them Is Possible!

What if I told you training dogs without touching them was possible?

What if there was actually a way, to get a dog to try hard to figure out what you wanted it to do?  And what if that way didn't involve any negative training techniques, like choke collars, prong collars or remote shock collars... would that be interesting to you?

If training dogs to behave using positive techniques is something you'd like to learn more about, then

In that video I go over a technique where I was training my 11 week Golden Retriever dog to go lay on his matt.  But I did it in such a way so that I never pointed to the matt, lured him with food, or said anything!  That's the way training dogs should be!

You get to really mentally engage when training dogs with this type of technique.  Dogs learn to try and figure out what it is you want them to do, and the only rewards the receive are when they've sought after the solution on their own, or stumbled upon it, and then gotten a reward for doing so.

When you start training dogs this way it takes a dog 15 minutes to figure out this newer style of training dogs, but once he's figured it out, training dogs new behaviors becomes easier and easier.

I've continually seen that training dogs in this way, using only positive reinforcement, and making the dog try to figure out tasks all on his own, drastically improves your dogs intelligence.

They work so well that I'm shocked people are still training dogs with old techniques like shock collars.

These training techniques were originally developed to control trained dolphins while out in the middle of the open ocean... where they could swim off if they wanted to.  And after much honing and polishing, were finally brought into the world where they could be applied to training dogs.

When you think about it... what other technique for training dogs would you ever want to follow as an example than a technique that worked so well it could keep dolphins from swimming off in open waters.

That's why I believe positive reinforcement is the more reliable method for training dogs... period!
